We are all addicts and it`s gonna make me rich in the future! I`m gonna start therapy sessions to ease people off buying cars that sit forever in dark rooms. The clever thing is, knowing you guys won`t sign up...I`m gonna send the info for my group sessions to your other half!! First though I gotta get the treatment myself

Same goes here DE, just about to finish a one month stinti between jobs and the buying of slot cars has actually increased.

Oh my gosh! I have just realized that I haved joined this hobby only 1 year ago and I have already something like 40 or 45 cars. Does that mean I should have something like 500 cars in 10 years?!

I got back into this hobby about a year ago and... just counted cars from the last twelve months.
Blimey had a rough figure in my head, but the actual amount has exceeded it by a fair ol'bit.

I think the first few months is incredibly addicitve because of the overwhelming choice. Once the initial 'new/novelty' period is over, you can narrow down & be more selective in future purchases - well thats the plan...

The only worry I have about stashing the cars is this problem with tyres hardening. Just discovered a couple of Fly classics with solid tyres

Not only I am buying cars and spares and spending time at the club races ( and here on the internet )

: every hour of use I take them apart and wash carefully all the bits with dish soap, obviously in the kitchen and in the bathroom, then I place them in the living-room and in the dining-room to dry up over a clean bath tovel; sometimes there are eight or ten cars together. Am I addicted? Ask my wife!
