Winner of the Grand Prix class in the 2000 and 2001 Marconi Foundation Proxy Race. The body is a Classic fibreglass 1037 Alfa Romeo 12C.
The chassis has a laser-cut spring steel frame, with a "floating" 2mm thick heavy brass plate suspended below it.
The motor is a shortened Mabuchi 'S' can, with a turned down Mura 'C' endbell and 36D brushes. The magnets are polymer cobalt, for brakes rather than "magna-traction" - the heavy brass under-plate takes some stopping, besides which there isn't much magnetic force 1/8th of an inch above the track surface! The armature is a balanced and trued Slot.it V12/2.
