Hi ALL, Have been thinking about this for the last couple of races-----Is there any way a certificate or trophy/medal could be presented to the person/s that WHO participants feel have helped others in any small way,,
I:e Mike D`s help and advice with magnets-----Me for supplying Mike with sweets to stop his bullyboy tactics in nascar(hope that helped Gareth lol),,,Jon F for supplying super glue when I broke Daniels spoiler(could have been tears before bedtime!!!) If anyone else has suggestions or feels this could be a good idea then please feel free to comment,,
Many thanks to all who take part in WHO Mike M

Sorry forgot to mention Andy R who spends more time setting up timing screen than preping his race cars
Also I am sure there are lots more people that "do things" for WHO that I do not know about so this could be agood time to give them some recognition!!!!

Hi Mike

Not a bad idea. I personally think we have quite a few trophies and awards presented at the end of the year so don't want to add another one for finance reasons. But I think a small ballot between members could be done in November and someone could be named "Mr Helpful". A picture on website and the title could be placed on the 2012 review page. Hows that sound?

Im sure Andy P will see this post but if not I'll bring it to his attention on his return to Who

As originaly said this was only an idea---I`m sure most people that provide help(in any form) do this for the love of racing---so in short a certificate/trophy is probably not needed but a quick mention on the website or here would just be a public thanks, so anything people want is fine with me!!!!

I like the idea very much Mike - it will be a lot of fun and will also recognise the contribution of the very many racers who have made the club what it is.

Of course racing is mostly about winning - or dreaming of winning - but there's no-one at the club who doesn't deserve a hearty pat on the back for what they add to the Wednesday evenings we spend together.

Maybe towards the end of the year we could open up a thread for categories and nominations? That could be good fun in itself

I'm very happy to design some certificates so all the regulars get to take something home. If my trusty printer can run them off at work, that's no cost to the club
