Sprung/Floating Guide??

1407 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  StuBeeDoo
(I asked a similar question to this a week or so back, but that was in relation to Scalextric cars, so the answers I got there wouldn't apply here)

I've got a Fly BMW M3 rally car which really needs a sprung or floating guide. I've read that the Ninco sprung guides have an odd post size. Is this correct? If so, is there a sprung or floating guide that is a plug & play replacement for the standard "rally track unfriendly" Fly one? Now I come to think of it, I also have a couple of old SCX rally cars with fixed guides as well.....

TIA
Stuart.

The Ninco guides should be OK for the early SCX cars. They used to fit Fly cars too, but Fly reduced the size of their guide posts. If you can find some, the Fly Trucks have sprung guides which are the smaller post size so can be used on the later Flys. The Fly Truck guides can also be used on Revell cars, but I think are a bit tight from memory.
