Well, I tried to do the analogue fix to a CLC this week and after the "snip, snip" I noticed that the tip of the flipper was sitting above the track level.

On close inspection it appears that the flipper was bent to curve up at the tip.

I bought this CLC off "that auction site" several months ago and never noticed the "proud" flipper tip.
So I thought that the round pivot pin was a friction fit but subsequently figured out that it seems to screw in.

I have borrowed another pic of the CLC underside to show the shiny round pivot pin in the upper LH of this pic:

Does anyone know how to remove this pivot pin so I may "level" the flipper?

Has anyone else had a"curl tip" flipper and how have you fixed it?

I figure I will have to use a rubber mallet to hammer it straight but would appreciate any advice.

I have been able to get 2 out of 3 of these off. The ones I got off were not threaded just push on. So in theory they should just pull off, mine took huge amount of effort to get them off, and I gave up trying on one. I used a flat head screwdriver on one and needle nose plyers on another, neither did the job on the 3rd. There must be a tool like plyers with some flat edges at the nose to get in under the head to make pulling easier.

A good pair of Pliers and brute strength.
All friction/push fit.
Just muscle up and you will win.

Also, twist and turn while pulling the pin.

I haven't done it, but would recommend cutting off the plastic circle that surrounds the pin, then use locking pliers to get a good grip on it.

Thanks for the ideas. I will try it again.
I have been trying to unscrew it but does not seem to come off. I read on an older thread that this was a screw on that was pushed together at manufacture, if that makes sense.

I just don't want to damage this pivot pin so I cannot reassemble the flipper.

Also, should the flipper be "thicker" in height at the tip than further down towards the pivot hole? Mine seems to be like that as well as being bent. (Can't return this since it was bought on "that auction site" on a private sale several months ago.)

Update...
Successfully pulled the round pin out then ...
1) used a rubber mallet to flatten the flipper
2) pressed the plastic flat (bent from struggling to remove the flipper (it was flopping about after the first attempt)
3) added a metal washer on the underside to strengthen the pivot area
4) re-inserted and pressed pin back in.

Yes, you need patience and strong arms/hands to remove the pin and need to be careful NOT to tear the hole for the pivot or else it just flaps in the wind. I did not tear the hole but it was loose so did some plastic rehab (flattened) and reinforcement (washer) to fix it up. Now seems pretty good.
