SSDC No Sound

Hi fellow slot car racers

Ive just recently upgraded to the scalextric digital from scalectric sports.
ive downloaded the latest ver of ssdc and im in evaluate mode while i wait for the licience code from andy.
when i load the programe it loads all fine and allows me to do all the stuff but there is no sounds from the programe at all.

im running windows 7.

all my other sounds work fine on my laptop just ssdc.

Please help.
