Dear slotracing-friends,

here is my Lotus 18, the 1960 Monaco-winning car of Stirling Moss. body by Penelope Pitlane, chassis Sm1S by PP., too.

It is race-ready, only the tires have yet to be prepared. (Sorry, I was to unpatient, wanted to show you the car...)

I hope, you like it...

Hi, DJ,

no, you are not wrong - I am!

You´re right, in 1960 the #28 was the winning car, in 1961 it was the #20. Thank you for your correction!

Thank you for your comments!

That´s why I love this forum - you ever get good additions to your topic! I like the Michael Turner-pictures very much, and so the historic facts! Welding near to gallons and gallons of fuel, brrr!

Hi, Charles,

see here, please:

Oh no, Mark, what did you do? In the video one can see, that the car had a start number on the motor cover! I had no picture to show that! So I have to work again to complete my car....
Thank you for your additions! great stuff!

Well, you are responsible for the following update ;-)

I have added the starting number at the rear motor cover and I have changed the gear box by a self made "Colotti" box.

@Barry: yes, you are right, the colour looks too bright. Indeed, the Rob Walker blue is a real dark blue. But the true colour of my car is darker than the photo shows. It isn´t the Walker blue, but I think, it is near to it.
