Hi all

Does anyone know if you can take the flippers out of the C7036 lane changer? Do they just pop out with a bit of force?
The solenoids are ok but one of the flippers doesn't move freely. I've tried bending the track a bit & I've dosed it with WD40 & Inox, & oil before that, & it works, sort of, for a couple of weeks but then becomes sluggish again, so I think I now need to clean the oily gunk out from behind the pivot but I don't want to break it.

hi
my motto is:if it went together it can be taken apart but if you only want to remove gunk then just spray it with isoprop or electrical contact cleaner

iso is a more gentle version out of the 2.If you opt for a switch cleaner test on a spare bit of track first.I have used it on some of my track parts to good effect, mine is made my maplin, other brands may leave a white stain on the track.

If that fails it is possible to remove the flippers from the track with care, all the electrical stuff is just pressed or screwed into housings...
