QUOTE (LeeH @ 16 Feb 2012, 14:27) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes wizzard front axle but not been sanded at all. Was hoping for better finish in a final but after winning b final and the intense battle that me, al and Tony had I didn't care just happy had won that.

Talk to Clive and Julian about sanded front Wizz rings.

I think Andyslots will confirm 418 works for LMP1, so that should put you in a comfort zone for Marlborough in the afternoon

Some quick guys in that class, but if the more planted feel of lower tyres gave you confidence to push that is good.

Now that you don't need the 902 for dhorc are you planning to do Nascar next season still, or has ProMod peaked your interest?

Thank for all the guys that made it last night, I really was a fast and furious SF1 series starter, with no chassis showing a real advantage as Al's superb stats will show, the balance was just about right.

I was the only one running a Marchon, it was not the fastest one I could put out. I retained the 'Super F1 Test' car and fitted it with larger tyres, as I suggested I would, which balanced the handling out comparable to the other chassis, but is was down slightly on top speed!

It is now time for the National series to catch up and split the Mg from the Tyco, by simply using Gareths title's 'Open Wheel' and 'Classic F1' for each. This will set the Mg free to show what it can really do, not shackled by the inefective tyre height formula.

With cars performing like these did, coupled with the extremly high standard of racing at SCHORC, I would not want to return to the national series, to race in an inferior formula.

Back to our event, the track included 6" radius 135deg. turns, which despite what you read, caused no problems for the Mg at all, there were no obvious body collisions sending cars flying either.

All in all a great meeting!!

QUOTE (montoya1 @ 16 Feb 2012, 15:06) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You should know there is deep and broad amusement at you taking four years to embrace the Mega-G for open wheel, and the use of tyre eqiuvilancy, and then trying to school those you are four years behind.

Its equivalency, with an unrealistic outcome, that is my bone of contention and always will be! Had there been an honest idea that the Tyco could have performed with realistically equal performance I may still be national racing.

The SCHORC 'Super F1' formula was put together to allow SCHORC members that participate with a mg in the nationals, to race with those that don't, on an realistic equal footing against other makes of chassis that may posess. I do not embrace the mg as you put it, just tolerate it, certainly never as an OPR class!

QUOTE The situation with the national 453 rule remains, it will go when the time is ready and not before.

Why?

QUOTE The situation with the national 453 rule remains as it was long before you got the twinkle in your eye to bring back class I, it will go when the time is ready and not before. Meanwhile the LMP1s (do you race those yet?) can run unrestricted, and the last national suggests the Mega could be a force in both Mod, and Nascar (do you run those yet).

I have no knowledge of your 'class 1'. We have no class for LMP or NASCAR as you well know, so why cite them, the mg is not 'banned' from mod at all.

Sounds good Tony. Can't see photos at work but get them up for later on so we can see those turns!

I did mean 453 yes. I was pulling the tyre size out of my head!

I actually proposed another name for the Classic series which was inspired by the 1:1 Big Open Single Seater (BOSS) series and that was Classic Open Wheel Series or COWS.

Tycos vs LifeLike Ms vs Turbos vs Amracs and G Plus. Would be interesting!!

QUOTE (Gareth @ 16 Feb 2012, 15:57) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Its just like at school where kids are horrid to people they like:

Tony and Deane,
Up a tree
K I S S I N G

I don't know what that means!

Nah, couldn't reach

Actually, I think people are usually horrid to other people, because they are so alike and feel cornered?, threatened?!! Something like that.

The club championships are:

Tyco F1 stock (Tyco because that what everybody runs)

Modified

Super F1

Closed wheel Club class (Cars provided, we will be using chassis/bodies in a combination not regularly used in the other classes)

Combined championship for Tyco/Modified

Combined championship for Super F1/Closed Wheel Club Class

And possibly

Hot Lap Champion (for the most fastest laps during the years racing, all classes, all events)
