Hi all,

Does anyone have a Super Shells Lotus Elite kit they would like to sell to me ... in Australia.

I seem to always miss out ont these when they come up for sale.

Thanks for helping out a fellow member.

There are at least two producers doing them as a resin kit.

Good for collecting is the SS kit but they pose a challenge when it comes time for paint. The plastic used is something that doesnt like superglue glue or the auto primer I used.

Interesting John....When I've painted SS bodies I have used Auto Plastic primer and then standard Auto paint top coats with no problem. I find the Plastic primer is much better for construction type kit cars, (Airfix etc.), than traditional Auto spray paint primer, a it sticks much better and offers a better surface to accept both soiid and metallic colours. Finish off with Klear or similar sealent. works on fibereglass Betta or AA shells as well.

Regards

Alan

The older plastic used in kits would react with the hotter paints. The plastic primer seems to work on most kits and seems Does not crack like normal auto acrylic primer.
