Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar
“The LMH regulation is new, It opens many new opportunities. We started from zero, and we first spent quite some time reading the regulation carefully."
“We found that this was a great opportunity to not have this rear wing in order to have a specific signature and make this car really iconic”

"No wing?" That was my first thought when seeing the new Hypercar from Peugeot for the first time. You hate it or love it.
As Peugeot mentioned above, this car is really iconic, and I love it!

Due some various reasons, a couple of my latest projects have been put on hold. Kids, a new slot track, work, ...

With upcoming WEC changes from 2023, it's time to innovate, instead of sticking to older models.
The SV9X8 is the first upcoming project which is nearing the end of development.

I designed this body from scratch, to fit the 1-32 scale regulations the best, with DISCA events in mind.
Above, you can see a 3D render of the actual model, 80% done. There are a lot of small details to do....

I'll try to keep u guys updated about this model in this topic.

First test print
So, here she is! It's a she for sure with all those pretty curves...

With a first print, it's always surprising how small 1:32 cars are. You draw every detail on a big computer screen, but in real life, it is something very small on the print.
I'm happy with the first print. Small details still need to be adjusted, but the general shape and fitment are fine.

In this test print, I had several parts printed together in 1 bodyshell. Afterward, I will look at which parts can best be made separately, to make processing (painting) easier.

Happy New Year everybody!

which means that the guide lead should be really good.
I think in the hlm/dhlm category, this car in its slot form is going to be very competitive.
I'll leave the final answer up to Steven (Supervlieg) and Tom but...the deep intake of the nose and DiSCA's requirement of a "vanity panel" to comply with WEC rule 2.10. "No mechanical parts of the car, except for the guide flag, wheels and tyres, should be visible from any angle when the car is placed on the circuit." give the 9X8 exactly the same guide lead as the SV Works Oreca 07.

with kind regards
Tamar
