A question...

Does anyone know how to remove tampo printing from windscreens/windows - I have a ninco opel astra DTM that is need of a makeover, but I want to remove the decals on the screens - any ideas (without damaging the plastic!)?

Cheers

The first time I remove a tampo from a screen I was reluctant to try anything in case it caused any damage. By accident I scratched the surface with my thumb nail. I eventually removed it by this method without marking the screen. I then polished the screen with a soft cloth and touched up the black painted window frames. The result was plain window glass suitable for a road car.

If the above doesn't work for you, I've use nail polish remover as well. It comes in two types, acetone and non-acetone. I use the non-acetone version which so far has done no damage to any plastic bodies or glass.

I still use the thumb nail first and only resort to the remover when it's taking to long.
