Hi

Thanks for this review. This is a lovely car, very well done. While not well know outside of the East Block, there is some interesting racing history here. There are books available on ebay about Tatra, in Czech, but with great pictures. I would particularly recommend Tatra Racing Sports Cars which you can find by searching that title on ebay.co.uk.

I am hoping that we are going to see some Skoda sports cars from FARO in 2012!

All my very best,

Charles

That's very interesting - I was going to do one myself, but a T603-1. Do you know when it will be released?

I've owned 2 real Tatras and I'd love to have a 603 in 1:32 scale

Having owned a T603 I was very impressed with this video of one cornering. The armchair experts will tell you that swing axles and an engine in the rear doesn't work, but if you've got the talent....

No, all Tatras were 4 stroke, it's an aircooled 2.5 hemi, apparently quite similar to the 2.5 Daimler engine (which was watercooled) in the Daimler Dart

They made nice & unusual cars. They trace their origins to Ites ,the former slot car company during the Socialist period. Its nice to see these little known makes made. Perhaps someone in Russia could start a slot car company that could make some of the many interesting Soviet race cars. Bernard

when these models were first anounced the expected cost was reasonable. there pretty basic and i was looking forward to getting a few as they were so unusual. when the final price was anounced i nearly fell through the floor. there not for racing or the majority of casual users. they seem to be a collectors car, shame really. around the £35 mark they make sense, but out of my league pricewise for a car i,d actually like to run in anger. john
