QUOTE (aejp @ 14 Feb 2012, 03:11) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I hate being a Tea Boy

Two sugars in mine please...

Don't worry about it, we all started off as tea boys (gals?), if what you have to say is worth reading it doesn't matter weather it's your first post or thousand and first post.

If you don't want to be a tea boy then just change it to something else.

In your profile page, the top of the list says "Member title/Real name". Input what you want in then and no more "Tea boy." You can be the Horlicks Hero instead if you so desire.

I find myself as a 50 years old tea boy somewhat strange, also ... (can't this etablissement afford a younger one? Are they in financial problems? ;-))

So, pushing myself forward to the next level, also

Meanwhile - black tea or green tea? Ah, sorry, what a stupid question, your British, mostly - should be black tea, then? :)

Lots of pointless posts just to get your stats up is one strategy.
Some readers will catch onto the idea your posts are pointless and decide your posts are not worth reading.

Another option is to forget about the tea boy tag and only post when you've got something to say.
There have been excellent posts from guys who've only just joined the slot forum (so called tea boys)
There are some members who have have 100+ posts, hardly any worth reading - they get the slot head tag (although a less complementary tag might be appropriate)

We're all (thankfully) quite different. Some people want to feel included in a new community. So welcome!

Keep posting, I read your thread and learned a tip off Ember - no doubt you've worked out it's worth keeping an eye on Embs, you'll learn a lot!

As already posted, milk no sugar, ta.
Two choccy hobnobs, if they're still going.

Thanks Snurf. Always concerned I fit in the 'not worth reading' category.

But all are entitled to voice an opinion. One doesn't always have to read it.

Think who's reading where and what will be more guided by the topic than by some "Ah, this user only writes bullsh^del^del^del not that interesting stuff ...?

I guess nobody interested in technical stuff really would read this one, here ...?

And now to something more important:

This is an international forum!

How shall a poor German like me know what a "choccy hobnob" is ...? You really make me fail in my job as a Teaboy, even when I try my very best!

choccy, OK ... chocolate ... but "hobnob" ... ah, I just serve you some chocolate cookies, that will have to do ...

Ive been on the forum 3 years and still have a tea boy status after only 30 or so posts. Like the guys say, its all about your contribution or in my case what information you want to claw out of the experts that keep the forum alive.

PS.. I like a toffypop or a fox's party ring with my tea please, milk, no sugar

They branded me a "Slot God" when I passed 5000 posts - how embarassing was that! But change the line to say whatever you want if you are uncomfortable about being listed as a Tea Boy, change it in your profile where it allows you to add your name as say "Slot Racer" or "SlotHead" as you want.

Hm ... Hobnobs look tasty ... I want some ... ;-)

So I have an idea of what to serve if some of you come around to visit Berlin and additionally my place :)

@Chat Yam: Sorry, but coffee will be served by my wife, then - I refuse. I'm a Tea Boy, only. Except we find a new forum level "Coffee Boy" ...

@Sandsmin: ZITATI like a toffypop or a fox's party ring with my tea please, milk, no sugar
Sorry, man, as the Senior Tea Boy, you may order us newbies how and what to serve to the others.

But you still have to get your own tea on your own, until you level up!

For the next round of tea to be served, a moderator could move this to the Pit Lane forum - I'm feeling a bit ashamed about blathering in the wrong place - even when it's BIG FUN
