Members of the Nantasket Beach Race Club and MARC are preparing for the November, 24 hours Lemans in Derby. I know that they are meeting at Lenjet H O Racway/ Modelville Hobby tonight for a night of fun racing. Now that the USG-Jet Grand Prix event is over, Deby is on their minds and I'm sure they are pretty excited about leaving New England and travel to England for this big event.

John,

Good to see you on here, just tone down the Beedle informercials, there's a good chap hee hee

The team is entered as MARC, same line-up as 2010 unless you know different.

WW will check out, but I am hoping for an epic battle behind them between Carazing, MARC, DHORC, and EAHORC. Tweets and FB updates are currently banned, but I hope that ban will be lifted so those of us not there (my birthday is on the Saturday) can follow the event in real time.

I was at the MARC/NYCONN race Sunday. John Reimels informed me that Jonathan Reimels is already in England. The bad news is that Dan Decosmo may not be able to attend. That would be a great loss since he's the real leader and most experienced racer for Team MARC. I'm hoping he's going to make it. I tried his cell phone earlier today but no answer.

John Hubbard will be doing some sight-seeing in Sussex on Wednesday - sadly I'll be working in London

It'll be good to hook up with the MARC guys again at the weekend. Always good for a natter and great racers too. After a few problems at the start of the race last year they came back strongly in the second 12 hours. I don't think they'll have those problems this year.

Indeed, it looks like it'll be a very competitive race. Hopefully Écurie Anglaise will be in the mix too

Hi John,

Here at DHORC we're looking forward to you arriving. Looking at the teams entered this year, it looks like it could be one of the most competitive!

Have a safe journey over.

Thanks

Dean,
When I can travel again. Hopefully soon. Against good advice, I went to WI to race in the Suzuka this past September. Suffered with some physical issues. I don't want to go through that again. I probably shouldn't compalin, Poor Mike Block, he looked like a swollen Racoon at that race.

Deane,
I think Mike is planning a 24 Hour Suzuka. I'm going to take a guess that LenJet Raceway/Modelville Hobby will do a 24 Hour Sovereign or 24 Hours on THE PURPLE.. As you know, this is a 8 lane track which will have dimmer lights installed over it. I'm thinking that we may be able to dim the lighting down to a full moon simulation and run with lights during the evening hours. There is also a drivers lounge for those who are resting and not racing. It could be an area to down a few cold ones.
