Wow! Very nice track with nice detailing. Is it simply a track to test your cars, or a test build for a new track?
Either way, it looks very good! What did you use for the trees? I'm assuming the trunks for some of them are real weeds or some such with foliage added? They are very nice as well.
nice little track there? if this is a test track prior to you building a bigger track i cant wait too see that!!
are those trees bought or made by you?
if so how did you make them ?
What are the dimensions? I want to make a test routed track too, but I have limited space because I also have a large Ninco track at the moment. You show that a small track can be very beautiful too!!
Well, thanks for the compliments. Trees are selfmade, using branches of a little bush called "Fette Henne" (fat hen) in Germany and acacia. Dimensions are 2,50m x 0,9m (about 7,5ft x 3 ft).
Leaves are made form birchseed.
Next track is in planningstage. Hope to start building winter 2010/2011.
Small can be beautiful, as shown. This is a fabulous layout. Simple(ish) but we can all tell a lot of work
has gone in to it. Love what looks like a short cut thru the dirt. Scenery looks very real.
Well done on a superb track!!!!!
I was hasty in my initial reply, the first thing noticed was the trees, but it is also the random rocks and boulders and talus and dead branches...like nature...
also the lighting and shadows....with an Australian outback seen on the wall = sweet..
well done,I too am waiting for the "real" track...
Hi MrFlippant, hi everybody, its just a single lane crossing once. You can see the crossing on the photo below. This track originally was built for me racing alone, lets say "recreational racing". The crossing-trick doubles the length of the track (all together about 10m (about 32ft)). My new track will be a 2-lane design with scorpius wireless system and flippers for best lane options, then using braid instead of the coppertape. New track is necessary because my three kids always cause trafficjams on the small track and overtaking seems to be an urgent need
I knew your track already before it was here on Slot Forum, but I did not remember where I had seen it.
Today I found it: http://www.oldslotracer.com/JensHolger.html
Many thanks for sharing.
I hope you will show us some more pictures of your splendid testtrack.
Hi Rene, please dont laugh, I never took lap times before, but you inspited me to: Laptime is about 8 seconds; no magnets, original tires. I always thought it was longer...learned something new again. Regards Jens (Kellerkind)
Yes, using Ninco-digital there could be driven up to 8 cars same time. Its not too senseful because tracklength is too short and driving one after the other with only one lane is like driving a german highway during rushhour...
I have two fovorite designs for the future track, the second one is my favorite for the moment. What do you think?
What I like most here is the option of a fillingstation (instead of pitlane) and a tunnel that directly exits on a 90cm (3ft) long bridge...!?
Regards Kellerkind
