If the limet is speed, than its no problem, but yes when you have a specific engine, it doesnot. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:.
In the RC worl it was a gain changer, but that was from petrol to electric.
I know it was a game changer in the R/C world, I went through that transition period but the motors we used were comparable. We went from a 27T stock motor to a 13.5 brushless but the performance gains meant the end for brushed motors. You have to remember the main limiting factor was the NiMh batteries used with brushed motors, going brushless and LiPo was an instant game over for brushed/NiMh.

The other thing to note, R/C onroad circuit car classes have different motor limits from standard (13.5T) right through to unlimited (4T). It's not just one class, there could be 4 distinct sub-classes all being motor limited (except the unlimited guys).

Here you're comparing an unlimited brushless to fairly tame brushed motors so not sure it's a fair comparison.

Correct, we just wanten to see how it Will turn out .its all al a experiment . I have not seen it yet in the 1/32 scale .so you have to start somewere.

I wonder what the guys in DiSCA will do once this setup catches on, it's not just a passing fad.

In fact a 24 hour race would be a great test for a brushless setup and a great advert (if successful) for this 21st century technology.

I don't know if this will work with an oxigen chip, and I'm not going to test it, the chips are too expensive for that. before I continue with it I wait until there is a motor with less kv.

i made the Radical with a 8 pinon and 33 gear, around 20 mm tyres, so about 29 km ph. kv shout be 3000 of the motor,but in rpm it is less.

3000kv = 36k rpm @12V

Following this topic with interest, I would say benefits for digital would no brushes = less interference. Small size and low weight combined with a big punch wild be great for a Hypercar scratch build class.

And what makes it even more interesting: brushless motors should be way more efficient. That makes it even more interesting for digital racing. For systems with a powerbase, central unit it's important.
Lighter and more punch while consuming less energy seems to be quite good.

As with everything there's always give and take somewhere along the line. Reading a recent BSCRA race report where brushless cars are gathering in popularity, one of the things those guys have noticed is a higher tyre wear rate due to the increased levels of torque these motors generate.

Lol, that would be a plus in my book... for digital. Real tire wear = less need for simulated tire wear 😉
