Yes indeed, and I have seen a lot of smiles. Thank you Henri for organizing this event and your hospitality. The RCS team really had an enjoyable day. The format was perfect, I liked the fact that you could rent a prepared car and participate. The track is beautiful and flows very well, first time for us on carrera track and we liked it.
Your place is more than a man cave, it is really a slot car club, build with love for the hobby. I hope this was the begin of a new tradition because we will be there next time!

Well done Henri and all the teams.
Man I did not realize until now that your track has a corner that is on wood and braids. I thought that it was all carrera track.

very happy to hear that you had a good time, there is no canteen ect but we will manage. The fun is number 1, but this can also be serious racing. Since digital is not that big yet, but has grown due to initiatives like this, I always have 5 extra cars and controllers to give beginners the digital experience...
given the success, i hope i will be able to organize this event annually.
Well done Henri and all the teams.

Well spotted Grunz, when I was building the track I found out that Carrera wasn't selling the radius bend I wanted in the track. It's also not a real standard turn..at the end it squeezes in, making it a turn with a degree of difficulty. It is also the transition from plastic to wood, which also makes it a bit trickier.. the cars drift more on the wooden part.. this has its charm.
first i had copper tape, but the difference between magnetism transition Carrerra steel and copper was too big, so i made braid in it
Hi @henriI liked your video giving good insights.

Could you please describe how it was set up from a technical perspective?
I am preparing our first oxigen season with slot.it classic dtm on carrera track.
Which Software do you use?
Which firmware for chips and controller?
How much ampere did your power supply provide?
How did you realize track calls?
Anything important I have consider?

Thank you for sharing.
:)

thanxx Chris.
Several members now have the DTM Sloit.it cars and we also want to use them digitally, although I have yet to see how a c chip fits in an in-line. I don't think there's much room.
Now I use Lap timer until RSCO2 comes with an improved version, as I see very nice elements in it.
Firmware this can be different for the controllers, as I have scp 1, 2 and 3 controllers. For the chip I use mode D132. I have 2 power supplies, 1 for each lane. Both give 10 amps and many power tapes and copper wires run through the lanes.
we use simple and cheap srp motors 20 k, the slot.it are 19k i think and they will do fine.
track cals, yellow flag 70% power if multiple cars are off track or hard to deploy. penalty for multiple collisions or coming out of the pit unsafe...just verbally...call the driver's name, must enter the pit and wait 10 seconds.

Ok! Sounds great. I'll check lap timer. It only has to be reliable. And it would be great if it supports fuel simulation.
Regarding slot.it classic dtm: it's super easy install! We don't install lights and there is plenty of room and everything is already prepared for the chip. Perfect match!

Yes, 100% feul simulation, dont have any problems with the software.can look at chip for Dtms thanx
Last question. Does it have automatic track calls or how can I issue track calls with lap timer? I dont have marshals so it's important.
No issues sounds perfect. I'll order it as soon as I know if I can issue track calls. I have no possibility to cut the power of the track.
thats no problem Crish, you can use the pause button or the yellow flag button, that gives you 70% of th power, or how you gave in the speed, you can also change de pit speed.
and lots of lots more options in bracke value or speed .Sinds all
commands run through the dongle, you don't need any extras

I think what Chris is looking for is an automated way for the software to detect that a car is out of the slot and track call automatically in case without pressing any button on the RMS because the race director is also racing ;-)
Just to be clear, the RMS you are talking about is PC Lap Counter (I have not heard of "Lap timer").

Yeah your right @GRUNZ i am considering the lap counter as an interims solution till o2 v4 and RCO2 v2 is ready.
Bzt lets focus on the race Henri organized. Dont want to hijack this thread.

Some excellent shots: I like those two pics with cars taking the lane changer and moving to the other lane.

Thanxx to be there, always welcome, you know that and who knows one day a digital fan.
Thank you for the pictures. I also tried it this week, but the light is too little...sharp is almost impossible...and you don't want really sharp either...because you still want to see movement, speed...so all in all very difficult to photograph.
Too less light can be solved with a flash. But a flash fire just 1/10.000 of a second (or shorter) so all movement is frozen.
Unless you use a studio flash! They fire around 1/125 of a second so they don't freeze all movement.
