Was googling 'Floyd Manly' last night - the thingie king from the 60's and this thread came up - what an awesome awesome thread and huge piece of history. Pity about losing the pics - mainly due to photobucket, but also because quite a few of the guys may no longer have their sites.

It was and it is. I've just trawled through it and enjoyed it, a bit of nostalgia kicking in. As you say, a pity about the pics.

See the name Barry Boor came up. I tried to buy a car from him via this forum but the French postal service or some slot racer at Charles de Gaulle airport made it disappear on route. I haven't see him on here since. Does he still slot I wonder? His site is still up, I loved his idea of doing whole grids of cars.

There must be loads of early threads here that would make interesting reading. Must have a wander.
