I know this is (a lot) off topic, but.....

It was bad enough when my daughter split up with her boyfriend and moved back home, into, guess where, the bedroom with the Scalextric track in it. Not too bad, as the track is suspended from the ceiling, and can be hoisted out of the way. Except when she puts some more furniture in, which stops the track from lowering properly. So I've just got around to "remodelling" the furniture (with a jigsaw!!!!) to allow the track to come down for some festive racing......

Did I mention that she brought a house rabbit home with her...... ******g stupid idea, a house rabbit. Turns out that it had got behind a cupboard one day and chewed its way through a bunch of cables. AV cables, network cables, and finally, the cable connecting my 7042 to the PC.........

I COULD SCREAM

I feel a Fatal Attraction moment coming on...........

On a calmer note, anyone know of anything that you can paint on cables to stop the rabbit (and the cat!) gnawing on them.......

on a serious note,rabbits hate chewing or will not chew hose pipe so clad your cables or run the cables through a section of it.

If my posting on this subject seems a trifle testy, its because I,ve got my younger daughter at home from university, I therefore have been evicted from the spare bedroom, along with my tools and treasures and now she tells me the hamster got out last night and has now nested in my prized copies of Model. Cars May I there for suggest you slice 4 carrots,2 onions along with seasonal vegetables and boil on regulo 5 for 15 minutes.....you can guess the rest. BON APPETIT.

Ladies and gentlemen, your support is much appreciated. As an interim measure I have renamed the rabbit "Stu".

Mains cable? No problem for this beastie. It ate its way through the cables to an electric storage radiator at the daughters old flat......... Must have been wearing rubber wellies.

Not knowing anything about a cablecoating...but you might add some cables with about 110 up to 220 Volts, 55Hz and.. lets say... 20 Ampere....

How much am I paying for one of my oiks to be in Uni? The nuisance spends more time here than there. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. (Fridge magically empties in minutes, doors suddenly become uncloseable - unless it's for the 3am door banging championships, wash basket ALWAYS full etc etc.) Aww bless.
