QUOTE (DJ @ 14 Nov 2011, 08:48) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>So the guy with the fastest wrist action will always win....

....Good news for a few folks on this forum then eh???

Yeah.
To be honest though, if this was even possible with some of the huge layouts then I still see no point.

I was justing thinking of what we would need to do to get higher performance, then I read DJ's post and realised lubrication is not eveything...

And why not???, the only problem with this system that I can see is that it would be impossible to run digital on this system unless you have two people on each lane 1 to power the track and they other to power lane changers

We could make the cars go faster by putting an electric motor to power the dynamo instead of the hand crank, this could be controlled by a hand throttle of some sort.

Not new but maybe new to the UK. My local hobby shop have had these for some time and has a track set up that customers can try. It's obviously marketed towards younger kids and the kids have a blast playing with it. There's never anything wrong with a product that introduces young people to the enjoyment of slot car racing.

By the way, this set is called Spin Drive here in North America and is made by Revell.
