Yeah, I don't see any problem with them. They're different, and clearly there are some people who don't like change. I'm not a fan of F1 in general, but I can enjoy a good race no matter what the cars are. To me, these are just another advancement in racing, whether it's for safety or speed, it's all good. I honestly don't get what the problem is. I think they look pretty cool. Sometimes I wonder if some people LIKE to see race drivers die in horrible accidents, so long as they're doing it in a car like the one they saw as a kid.
I think you underestimate how long it takes to bring a new car to market.
At least wait until after the Nurnberg toy fair before assuming it won't happen this year.
But really, it's just a question of time. If this is what the cars look like now, then someone will be making slot cars of them.
