is this another example of over priced britain?
in a good sale over here a fly gt40 or an alfa 147 would cost £25, in spain in a good sale these are costing as little as 25 euros being nearly £10 less than over here!!!!
now i am not saying that the retailers could afford to sell them that cheap but then again the might i dont know but somewhere along the line in the brittish market someone is making an awfull lot of money

QUOTE In which sense "Not like", Beppe?

in the sense that I wasn't there at the sudden end of the Golden Era, but any sign of supply exceeding demand (in slot racing's largest market) sets alarm bells ringing

Beppe,

They are probably clearing out their stock to make way for digital slot racing, which will in any case kill off slot racing as we know it today.

With kind regards

Hi Russell
Just imagine a digital version of a Blue King with a field of Gp7 cars changing lane's, it's enough to blow your mind!

Think they might have a problem with down force if they decide to "slipstream" each other round the big banking!!!

Cheers

Hi all.
In my experience it wasn't overproduction that killed off the "Golden Years". I presume you mean the sixties boom.
I think it was the speed "arms race", particularly in chassis and motor design, that rendered last weeks winner obsolete as soon as the latest widget came down the line. This meant that the casual racer or any newcomer had no hope of being reasonably competitive and eventually the base of the pyramid eroded away.
The fact that the cars looked less and less like the real thing didn't help either.
Manufacturers will always struggle to get their production quantities right and so adjustments through cut-price sales in the summer season can only be expected.
Regards,
Lowrider.

Hi all.

Did you read lastest GSR (#39)? Marcel already warned about a market saturation, having to decrease prices more than half the price. On the other side, Aloy sells some cars at 6€... that sounds strange.
