Hi all

First I would like to say thanks to so many of you for sharing your track photos which gave me so much inspiration.

The Track is Carrera Digital 132 and its called The Roller Coaster.
Table size is 5M X 1M and I have 20M of track in 3 levels in same places.

Difficult to get a good overall photo so I have broken it up in sections.

From left to right - The mountain pass

The Bikies road into town and took over the farm house

A little 4X4 section

The Truck Stop/ Roadside Diner

The Carrera warehouse - Homes and Bikers took it over for Xmas and stayed

The Pit area

Yes Embs it's a bit hard to work out the flow of the track from these pictures but very hard to get a clear shots - sorry about your eyes!

I just wonder -- did you ever consider switching the locations of the two lane changers on the main straight? If you were to swap them, then a car coming down the straight at full speed could get out of the way of a car coming out of the pit lane. Then further down they could still get back in the inside lane if they so desire.

Surprisingly enough DrumPhil the track takes very little time to get use to - I have had complete novices do a few slow laps and then off they go running good lap times.

The lane changes is interesting but I need the change from inside to outside lane near the mountain pass to get a fast run through the corner and also lane changing from the start grid but I am thinking you are correct for the pit lane area so I might put in a double lane change there.

What are the supports made of?

25mm X 25mm square aluminium tube with premade junctions.
You can get all sorts of junctions - 90%, 3 way, 4, 5 and 6 way plus stop ends.
I also used some rubber tube to wrap the aluminium to protect the cars.

The product is called Qubelok in Australia.

This is all I had left over to take a picture.

Thanks for the comments again, Good to get feedback.

Yes the mods were done by me.

The Ute was a Holden sedan but after watching Bathurst I figured I would cut it down to resemble a Ute.
I have a green front window light and a red rear brake light.

Same lights for the Orrcon Ford.

I had a front and rear light board from a wreaked car so I used the fronts in the Richard Ford and figured the red rear lights would look good in the Supercheap Holden.

A little bit of landscaping done to the left hand end of my track

More to follow as I am still playing around with rock colours.

I did want to create a volcanic Aussie outback look - I think I'm close?

Hi Theo

On the lake area and runoff.
I used clear gloss polyurethane.
Prepare and seal the bottom and sides then paint the desired colour then pore in the polyurethane to the desired depth.
I used dark blue running out to light blue towards the outer edge at the rocks - if I did it again I would have gone a bit lighter in colour.

The waterfall
I used a tube of ultra clear silicon.
Squeeze out lines of silicon on greaseproof paper and use a toothpick to even out and join lines.
After about 2 hrs peel the waterfall off and place it in position, the silicon will never go hard so it can be positioned easily.
