How are the points calculated? Not being a digi racer, and not familiar with SSDC, it is not immeadiatly clear what all the numbers mean or why some drivers have less columns with laps in that others etc etc.

When does the HO track open LOL ?

The Points Structure that we are running at the moment is

1st 20 points
2nd 12 points
3rd 8 points
4th 4 points
5th 2 points
6th 1 point.

1 point per lap completed

We are running SSDC using fuel simulation so if you run out of fuel you are out of the race
This gives the difference between the top drivers laps run
The race is set to end on same lap as the winner so you could be 2nd and be 5 laps down
or as Lee did run out of fuel after 20 laps in one race - a bit costly as it was a 50 lap race

Re HO track G was not looking at building one but was wondering if anyone wanted to erect one over the main track for a HO race meeting
At the moment there is not a lot of space in the diary for such an event but maybe at a later date there will be one

No results as I copied the wrong folder when trying to fix the laptop

Can anyone remember the points

I know Graeme won and took lead in champ from me by a few points

Can't see why SSDC used so much power or maybe the laptop is just

It runs fine on mine with loads of stuff running in the background as well

So the nights results

And this gives us an overall standing of

Not quiet sure how acurate they are as there was a lot of missed laps during the night for some reason

Amazing what a bit of freeware can do

thought it was gone as coppied old file from my laptop over it
but a bit of googling and it recovered the previouse version somehow

looking at it i think me and you lost the most laps according to laptimes

So Thursday night saw the last nights racing this year on The THORNDIKE Oval

Since we started racing on the Oval it has seen 15 different racers take part and
all season we have run Club Scalextric NASCARS on the OVAL
So the racing has been very close and going into the final night only 12 points covered the top two drivers in the championship

Session 1 results were

Session 2 Results were

So George had a great night but how would that leave the season end standings .........................

So after a Great seasons Racing Michael was crowned the First THORNDIKE Oval Digital Champion
And received A Scalextric 2010 Club Car from the host Lee Thorndike as the prize
Shown below along with the track and the club cars

Thanks everyone for making it a great season and taking it all the way to the last race of the season

Looking forward to 2012 now .............................

Well done for winning the first digital nascar championship michael.
I would also like to thank everyone for their support in running this series.
As everyone who knows me knows I am a huge nascar fan so it was a big thing for me to build the oval
and it be so succesfull although a bit trying at times with all the technical glitches etc.
So looking at the tables it looks like we did 18077 racing laps.
Which is nearly a million feet of racing.
Not bad for second hand scalextric ford tauruses.
Only one broken chassis which was repairable.
So heres to a new series in 2012 at the new venue in Basildon Essex
Starting January 12 and the second and fourth thursday of each month.
