Other than globe-trotting proxy racers, I'm putting these cars - well, the Monte Carlos anyway! - forward as the world's most-travelled slot cars.

Made in China five years ago and shipped to the USA as white body models, bought from the USA on the Internet and shipped to Bahrain in late 2006, painted up in Bahrain with Australian decals, then sent to the UK on a boat and sold to the Netherlands, now bought back from the Netherlands to the UK - and their original owner.

Thanks so much to Peter... they're as good as ever and driver#8 has got his #8s back!!

Don't worry - the retro Budweiser car is cream not white! More to follow in my blog...

You'll have to take a buzz down the A3 to Bolwextric some time over the next couple of months, Nick. We started a Hornby Nascar class last night. Great fun - but you do have to turn right occasionally!

We run the classes fortnightly for 5 meetings, so the next one should be Monday 20th June.

More info on the Bolwextric section in clubs.

I think the sidewinders benefit from a bit of weight up by the guide, but the inlines are Ok as they come. Bolwextric is 6-lane MDF with copper tape, so magnets are just weight
