As snow and the World Cup got in the way of the first two special meetings of 2018, next Thursday 27th should be the date for the first NNRC special meeting this year.

A very brief teatime discussion happened last night, and we came to the conclusion that we would have a Goodwood Revival Recreation. Well, actually, Trigger decided that was what we would have.

So next Thursday will be a non-championship meeting of four classes raced in the spirit of Goodwood Revivals.

  1. Saloons - Cortinas, Minis, Galaxies, Mustang Notchbacks, Alfa GTs. Even VW Beetles and Abarth 1000TCs.
  2. 50s Sports - Jag C/D-type & XK120, Ferrari 166 and 250TR, Aston DB3 and DBR1, Maserati A6GCS, Porsche 356 and 550
  3. Single Seaters - From Prewar to the early 60s - Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Talbot Lago, Maserati, Ferrari, Cooper, Lotus etc
  4. 60s Sports/GT - AC Cobra, Austin Healey, Ferrari 250 GTO & LM, Ford GT40, Lola T70, Jaguar E-type, Porsche 904 & 910

That's just a list of ideas for eligible cars, there are probably many more.

Just for fun, no points counting toward this years championship, so let's see some varied grids!
