Some of you have probably seen these photos on the SCI forum. If you haven't, I hope you will like them and get some inspiration to build new cars.
All kits are from Ocar, not the best quality shells around but they have some nice models. Also they're cheap and all of them need some work, so that's a good way to learn.
All have PCS32 chassis & Cartix Classic spoke wheels.
The first one is an Aston Martin DBR1 (copied from MMK?).
No problems with the shell, but the vacuformed parts were poor. The driver is a bust figure from Catrix. Painted with Tamiya spray cans; TS-60 pearl green & gloss clear topcoat.
#2 is a Jaguar Mk2. The finish on this shell was horrible - it took lots of putty, primer & sanding to get a decent finish. The panel lines around the hood were filled and rescribed. The body represents a race version with open rear wheel wells and I didn't like that, so new covers with smaller openings were built. Apart from that it's completely stock as per the kit.
Tamiya spray paints & top coat. ,
#3 is another classic; Jaguar type C. This was the best body of the three - excellent finish. The vacuformed parts were poor though, so again this model has a Cartrix driver figure. It is finished with Vallejo acrylic paints, and the top coat is Vallejo clear satin. I've added a bit of road dust on the sides & the wheels. Excellent runner.
