Keep all the ideas comming in.
We will have a vote near the end of the year on next years racing.
A couple of things to consider is the oval racing makes all the club funds.
I am happy to run the larger track more often but it just pays for the hall hire.
The idea of the club is to make close affordable racing.
Also difficult for some of us to race once a week as a few of us also race at other clubs.
And lastly I am not keen on running anything ninco although if out voted I would support a ninco class.

We run ninco moslers at the other club in anulogue.
Mine is like triggers broom.
The only original bit left is the shell which is broken.
It has had 4 chassis and is always broken.
You may need a bucket for all the bits if we run these in digital.
On a positive note they make realy good guides

Probably a bit unfare but firstly a slot car manufacturer would have to make something of interest to me.
Take slotit for instance they dont make anything i would buy but they are a first class car.
Then take say scx they make numerous cars i am interested in but require a lot of work to run the way i like them.
The other thing with ninco is im not sure the scales are right?
Personaly I would rather pay more for a car and have a better quality.

I have a set of v8 supercars we could use as another club class.
they are allready set up to race.

Ok so this thursday will be club nascars.
Its up to you as I said if you want to continue with the championship or not.
No need to bring cakes as all is now supplied with the increase in race fees.

Hope you feel better soon steve.
Thought you were put off by the muscle cars.
We did a bit of car prep and ran them with fuel strategy and they ran very well.
This will be a great class eventually.
We also tested the new mod for pace cars and got up to 13 cars on track.
The next race night is on 15th of november and it will be club class.
Hopefully we can get more of an idea on the handycap system.
It seems to be working.
We ran it on the muscle car class and although george and I still took 1st and 2nd spots it was a lot closer.
One of the races finished with 3 of us crossing the finish on the last lap without us knowing who had won.

So this thursday 29th november is the last scx nascar endurance of the year.
Hopefully be running 15 cars on track.
The only cars with power reduction is george and myself so should be a close last race.

I hope you all had a good xmas.
So now its back to some slot car racing.
This thursday the 3rd is a qualifying round.
Bring all your cars as we will be doing a quilifying for each class.
6 heats per class of two minutes each.points totaled up at the end of the night.
this is basically to get us all up to speed for the new years racing.

We may be moving elsewere on hall dates but in the basildon area still.

Time for an update
There will be no more racing at St Martins hall as they can,t accomodate us any more.
I am working on another venue for the 31st of January but the new building is being refurbished at present.
I will keep everyone updated this may meen we have to use the oval for this round.
This thursday will be the first round of Club nascars weather permitting.
Lastly have a look at the club website I have been building.

Hi Steve
Yes there is an option for video.
The only problem is this is a free website so there are limitations.
You can pay for more but I only intended it to be a first point of contact.
I was quite impressed with it considering its free.
Once you get your head round it its also fairly easy.
I havn,t finished it yet but needed to get it up and running.
If I don,t get a space to run the gt round I think the best thing is to swap it with an oval round.
That way we don,t miss a Gt track race.

Just had a call from the church today saying they will now let us have the hall for the 31st.
So the Gt race is on at st martins hall.
The results are on the website for the first club class round.
Also I have put some photos of the six new sections I have been building which will
lenghten the gt circuit by 12 feet and add another four lane changers.
It will also go to making the 84 foot Indy circuit.

Second round of the club nascars in two weeks.
Last night went well with a copuple of new faces.

This thursday is the first round of american muscle cars and the last oval race for 8 weeks.
We now have a full set of truspeed controllers to try out.
Gt/Lmp racing looks like it will be at st martins for awhile longer yet.

Unfortunately due to a reduction in members and my work comitments I have decided to suspend all hall racing on the
extended gt track.
The next gt/lmp round will be at the club room on a scalextric sport track.
The up side to this is if we have a low turn out pace cars can be run with magnets.
Also the club doesn't continualy loose funds.
This doesn't mean we won't run the gt track again in the future.
