No Worries
Second round of the club nascars in two weeks.
Last night went well with a copuple of new faces.

This thursday is the first round of american muscle cars and the last oval race for 8 weeks.
We now have a full set of truspeed controllers to try out.
Gt/Lmp racing looks like it will be at st martins for awhile longer yet.

Unfortunately due to a reduction in members and my work comitments I have decided to suspend all hall racing on the
extended gt track.
The next gt/lmp round will be at the club room on a scalextric sport track.
The up side to this is if we have a low turn out pace cars can be run with magnets.
Also the club doesn't continualy loose funds.
This doesn't mean we won't run the gt track again in the future.

Didn't make last race night as both kids were ill with a bug that has swept thru the school

Hoping to make it next time if everyone is well but now I have Carol off ill again

And I have conjunctivitis aswell

Hope you all feel well soon Michael.
I wasn't blaming anyone for the reduced members recently.
We seem to have members missing due to illness and work comitments.
I have had trouble securing an alternative race venue with storage.
I can't continue to ferry the track back and forth on week nights as I am now working
further afield.
I know some will be dissapointed but things may change in the future.
I have now set up a sport track for next thursday.
It is around 60 feet long and about half of it is four lane.
I have kept it simple for now.
I can alter this track for every race night if everyone is in favour.
We could even give the aussie v8 s a go

It's a shame we can't run on the big GT track, but at the same time I'm looking forward to racing on something different and reckon a bit of variety can only be a good thing.

Due to the success of the sport track.
This weeks racing will swap places with american muscle.
This was agreed last race night to see how they will perform on a different track.
The second sesion will be our yearly session of australian v8 supercars.
Racing on the 23rd will then be club nascars back on the oval.

Well we are now back to oval racing after a couple of months racing gt and lmp cars.
The racing was very clean, well for nascar anyway apart from the first corner incident of the first race.
After a poor showing from myself George takes over the lead of the championship and Anthoney closes me down for 2nd place.
Have a look on the website there is a link button on the results page that takes you into a more detailed view of the results
taking into account the drop a worst round.
This Thursday is scx cot nascars.
We still have a tyre issue.
May I suggest we all carry on using the wasp tyres and let the rookies use the sport plus.
The grip is slightly better.
Hopefully we will have a good turnout like the last round.

Just to clarify.
Racing this week will be Lmp/Gt.
I have swapped the Lmp/Gt and club Nascar around as the oval track is at the classic car show on the 28th of July.
The sport track is basically the same just a bit longer and with border barriers throughout now.
I have also put in power taps so there is no drop in power

The Stevemobile has just failed it's MOT. This leaves me carless and on a mission to rectify this situation.
