Will anyone be selling Johnson's Klear or Futur (or whatever it is called these days)? I can't find any in the local supermarkets :- (

Leo
Thanks Richard, that's a good suggestion, I don't tend to go to Sainsubury stores. Tried the nearest one tonight but no luck. Will try the next one in the next few days.
Just checked Ebay - wow !! But I now know what it looks like. "Pledge Multi-Surface Wax "

Leo
Success, Sainsbury's at Pentland Retail Park had it on the shelf, 20 pence cheaper than their web site :- )

Thanks Richard, Leo
Really?!?!?!

Leo, what exactly did you buy? Klear or Futur(e), as the last bottle of Klear I was able to get was 3 years ago

Simon
Please excuse my ignorance but can tickets be bought on the day at the door and does the on the door ticket also allow access to the car museum also ? Many thanks
The tickets in all previous years have allowed access to the car museum (you have to pass through the car museum to get to the slot car show).

You can buy on the day BUT I made that mistake on my first visit and spent the first hour of the show outside waiting my turn to buy my ticket whilst watching those with pre-bought tickets in a much faster moving queue.

My second visit was with a pre-bought ticket and queuing time was only a few minutes.

I expect it will be a similar setup this year.
Mr Modifier is correct, I would thoroughly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Entry to the museum will be quicker.
Basically the entrance fee is for the museum, the slot festival part comes free

I have heard that Scalextric are doing a special deal on advanced tickets for Racer club members, not seen it mentioned on here
perhaps some-one can clarify.

That is correct Sean

I bought mine using the code avaliable on the Scalex website "SCALEXTRIC" which brought a weekend ticket down from £12 to £10
Thanks for the promotion code

Matt
The cheapest entry is courtesy of Tesco. If you have Clubcard points then £2.50 in vouchers will get you a £10 days out token for entry to Gaydon. Every little helps.
Strange occurance when buying my tickets online from the museum website.
Clicked to pay for my tickets and it said there was an error...the kind of thing you get if you've missed 1 of the required details for payment.
So I went back into it, checked the details, which were correct, and clicked again. It then said that this transaction had already being processed and gave me a transaction no.
It's still not showing on my statement though? Is this normal for Gaydon? Never had it for anywhere/anything else. Is it their system?

Cheers.
Nik.

Nik.Left it 'til today and still nothing from them so I gave them a call. For some reason their online booking didn't like my credit card but using the same card over the phone I had no problem. Still...all done now.

Cheers.

It did the same for me, went to pay for five tickets & the site went dodgy. I thought no hurry so waited a few days for funds to clear bank, they didn't so did it again using chrome this time & it worked spot on. Got receipt straight away.

Cheers
Paul.
Forgot to mention:

15 days, 16 hours, 7 minutes to go.

Not that I'm counting

Handy tip, Dibbler. BUT, I just called the Museum, and the Tesco Clubcard vouchers can only be used on the day at the venue. If you want to buy tickets in advance, then you have to pay the going rate. So, the question is, do I want to queue or not ?
