Right you've all driven me to it!!! Im going to have to attempt a scratch built now..........

I need some hints as to where to find body shells, motors and the running gear. The chassis should be no problem as I have a few ideas for that already. Really want to do something like an old chevy 57 or something similar

Most model kits can be converted over to slot cars, many of the ones I have done up us the model bodies..... So start checking the different hobby shop sites.
In the "offers" section of Pendle's site he has a "Body Shop" and has several bodies listed there.....

You didn't say what you were racing on?? but try Rad Trax, Pendle and the other mail order shops for parts (Slot-it has most of what you would need in parts and motors, guides and such)
For you bushing for the rear axle I would try Rad Trax or any raceway in your area should have them.....

You should get all you need from Chas Keeling of SCD. He has a web site to browse but it does not contain prices but he will probably send you a current catalogue in response to an e-mail. Once you have rough idea about what you want give him a ring. He has been slot racing and selling parts for well over 40 years and often has bits tucked away that he does not advertise but are usefull for scratch builders.
