Hi folks I have a John cooper mini one of the light lenses have came of as well as the read windscreen I boughit like this

after searching on-line I haven't been able to find a rear windscreen for it

Should I glue the old one back on.

I have also picked up 3 ford escort xr3is and they are missing a lot of parts I had these ones as as kid but the ones i have bought are missing all kinds of things

Front bumpers.lights,wing mirrors,spoliers

also the wheels are loose from the axles

Should I glue the wheels on to the axles and all the other parts on when I get them if so what type of glue should I use?

deciding whether to glue parts on is a personal choice but one thing to remember is never use superglue on clear plastics such as light lenses and windsceens as the glue sends them misty.

I have used it to glue wheels onto axles and motors to chassis and even magnets to chassis.

Glue the screens and lights in using a PVA glue like Micro scale or I found one at a local craft shop much cheaper. This glue can then always be removed using Warm water to soften it IF you ever get the replacement parts.

As Phil said PVA glue is good for clear parts, Humbrol/Airfix also do a special clear parts glue which I've also used for mirrors.

for big body parts ues 2 part polyester resin, it will even glue the plastics with that oily apearance. £1 on ebay for 2 small tubes and i think it might be free P/P. john.

yes it is didnt have pic of the mini so put another repair job up

If you glue the wheels to the axles, don't forget to put a small hole in the inserts so the air can escape when you push the wheel onto the axle with the glue on.

If you coat the transparent parts in Klear first you can then use cyano glue without fear of fogging. A dip in Klear will also revive the clarity of the parts.
