I've been having a play with some new and old Turbo lighted cars. I have at least three where the lighting board doesn't work. Is it a simple job of just soldering in new bulbs or do you think that the fact that all three bulbs don't light suggests a more serious problem?

Also, does anyone know where I can pick up new boards for them if I need to replace the whole thing? Tony, you got any?

I've got the same problem with the lights were the odd bulb isn't working.

If it is just one bulb, it is easy enough to solder a new one in. My problem is none of them are working so I don't know if it is board or bulbs that is blown.

If they don't work when you change the bulbs, take out the electronic bits and connect all the lamps together, so head and tail lights are on at the same time, like the old scalex cars

I thought the electronics were only in there to control the current going to the bulbs? Mine all go on at the same time when working.

the reason is the original bulbs are not the same voltage, and the replacements you may get will be 12/14v

Julian, I'm not a massive fan as it takes power away from the wheels BUT as I have the four lighted cars, I do want to see them all lighted.

Which reminds me, my lighted red Pontiac is lonely. I know you can get a black one (which my brother has) and a yellow one. Was there ever a 4th and if so, what colour was it?

Just the three from Tomy + nine from, aurora 1 white, 3 diff blue and white, 2 dif black, 1 yellow, 1 red and one white blue and black

If I went for a set of four, I'd only want them to be front lighted, same as the Tomy ones. Didn't spot your post before I replied!

Still so many Tomy Turbo bodies I don't have. I sometimes wish I wasn't such a collector/hoarder.

Are the bulbs wired up in series? If one failed they'd all go out.
