Hi,
I have an old scalextric circuit kit from my younger days and my son wants to use the straight sections of track to create a drag track. I have started by hooking up the power supply to the start end. Is there any requirement to run another wire to the finish end other than to supply a more consistent power level along the whole length of track? The track is only a couple of metres long and my son is only young so high performance is not really necessary.
Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon, and welcome to SFi

If this is an old Scalextric set, then i am guessing it is analogue with classic track?
The power supply should still be up to the job for your needs, but the thing to look for with old track, is the connections on the rails.
Take a look at the top of this article, about tightening the connection pins, to gain better continuity.

Have fun.
