[Triggy]

Has anyone tried using Christmas Tree (plastic look-alike type in particular) branches and "twigs" as trackside scenery?

Yes, a friend of mine has used them and loves them... they do look good.... I will see if he has any pictures of his track....... he cuts them to different lengths and also does some touch up on with with paints.... The look very good and are soft to crash into

Ive used some, didnt go through the trouble of touch up painting highlights,but that sounds like a good idea to add to the realisim.

They do good for mixing in with others or to fill out a forest . I did take the time to trim mine with some scissors to shape them and that improves their looks quite abit.

Thanx biggstr6 & JBriggsK9. I didn't think there would be any reason why they wouldn't work. It's a bonus having them as a soft landing to reduce damage to cars. (for the new racers of course!!) Should be cheap in early Jan also!!

Would like to see pix if you can get them K9.

I am trying to contack Steed and get some pictures of his track... but the look very much like Biggs...... they do add something to the track... and with the triming and touch up can be made to look very good.... nice and cheap too....

Here in the UK Sainsburys are currently selling 6ft Christmas trees for £3.75. Enough to create an entire forest!
