I have completed and tested the first TSP chassis prototype.

It was fun to build! Hope to have them available soon

Works well and set a best time on my track. Still some more testing to do and I need to mount a body, then build and test the other versions.

This chassis was built for the 962 vac body.

Victor: looks like you took note during the proxy races! Better fit a sedan body and send in on to the UK races.

Good job. How do you plan to have the production chassis's cut? Laser cutting is not very good on brass,needs a lot of cleaning up.

Hi Phil, I was very impressed with all the proxy entries and wanted a chassis of my own to enter in the World proxy. The last chassis I ever made was for my 1/24 track and it was along time ago.

So many times when I sell a body I get asked "which chassis does your bodies fit"?
now I can say "they will fit a TrueScale chassis".

I like the torsion bar type chassis so I was originally trying to build a chassis for your proxy. However I don't think I will enter because I am going to be busy for soon and could not complete a car.

I'm not hoping to offer allot of chassis, but if I could make a couple for people who cannot or don't want to make there own, I would gladly do it.

We have needed chassis like these available for many years.

Right now the main parts are cut on a CNC mill. I will most likely make dies to punch out the brass parts.

As I mentioned in a previous thread, the "flexi-board" chassis, even though it's a 25-year old design, is still my favourite chassis -- it works really well on most tracks.

Will you be making an inline version as well, for the current design LMP cars? It's impossible to fit an angle or sidewinder chassis under these bodies!

Very interesting Victor, and should preform really well. I hope you can find a way to make them commercially available as I think there is a significant market for a chassis such as this.

Russell's comments, (as always) should be noted as the new rules for Le Mans prototypes comes into effect over the next three years, this will make current cars such as the Audi R8, redundant to a cetain extent. All cars built to the new rules would appear to require much more compact bodies,i.e. "thinner" with more symmetrical look, but with greater ground clearance(or at least the appearance of increased ground clearance), this will be a challenge to manufacturers to try and fit suitable current motor design in ANY configeration. HO motors anyone?
This is being introduced to reduce the ground effect of current cars and prevent "flip over" accidents, such as happened at Le Mans in '99.

As far as I'm aware the only LMP currently running to the new rules is the Nasamax DM139, although several others have been "converted" to sort of comply with the new rules. No Slot manufacturer has yet produced this car!.

I also like the adjustment slots for the wheels base and the stop (limiters) for the side pans..... very ncie clean design....

All the guys are right... it would be nice to have something like this made available to the public.....

keep us posted on what is happening with the chassis..... and if you needed any testing done?? Im your man

I have all of you to thank!

Your chassis and your help with this, have not only inspired me, but shown me what I have been missing for many years... building!

I have always liked the torsion system. But never thought about using it until I wanted a chassis for myself to enter in the World Proxy (because all of you were using it).

Now a bit late I'm sure, I will settle for just building some cars for myself.

"This part of the hobby is what it is all about"... building!
