I also had a great time. 12 hours well spent, thanks Paul....and everyone who took part.

Was I the only one who had trouble sleeping last night, everytime I shut my eyes I kept seeing cars racing around the circuit.

That'll be winner's euphoria, Keith! Well done.

I slept so well, I overslept. Two man teams are a bit small for a 12 hour. Not that I've done much endurance racing.

Jim and Kev's downfall was their choice to race for an hour without changing drivers, it was okay for the first few then even Jim started crashing.

Tony raced our Maserati for an hour at the end, being fresh and the car nicely sorted he completed the highest number of laps in an hour.

Paul and Keith were certainly helped by the early pitstop. What did you do to the car?

Three drivers in a team has to be the ideal number, with only two it was hard to grab a snack or a drink. You raced for thirty minutes and then marshalled for thirty minutes. Unless you were *** who kept disappearing and then complained about being made to marshall.

Is Mr Hawkins organising it now? Is that because Mr Atkins isn't allowed to "go to Scalextric" any more?

They went very well at swindon getting some real abuse.

Ok, neck on the line.

I will provide six cars for a 12 hour endurance. They will be mine so I want them back at the end.
I am more than confident that they will be absolutely fine at the end. Just stick new tyres on them and use them for racing.

How does that sound?

They did race TA cars for 12 hours at Sebring amongst others.

Sounds fantastic to me. We might want some spares just in case.

We need a date and teams. Also a charity that would appreciate some hard earned cash.

Right, we seem to be getting somewhere.

Date proposed is 13th March.
Proceeds are going to The Make a Wish Foundation http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/ and a local memorial fund.

Can all those interested please add their name to this thread or PM either me or Keef921

Start time 9.00am

There are 6 lanes and you can have as many as you like in a team.

This year we will be running Pioneer cars. www.pioneerslotcars.com

Just had another thought.

For all those that can't attend, you could still help.

Last year the total amount of laps for all cars was 12,210.

For £2.50 you can send in a guess of what you think this years total will be and the SF member with the closest guess will receive one of the cars that will be used on the day.

Oh dear, with you two taking past laps will be under 10,000 this year! Ha ha ha ha.

Just heard from Jules, he is supplying Pioneer stuff for us all to race. Yipee!

Well done, and thankyou Jules.

Just need to sign up some racers now.
I have contacted M-A-W and have a few tips for promotion on the way.

Will, can you set up a paypal account to accept paymaent for lap guesses please.

The total laps sweep is a great idea, but when I think about it how can anyone place an informed bet until they know the number of teams, last year there were 4, we all hope for more this time.

It could run as the average per team rather than the all teams total, that means punters could start betting the moment the event is confirmed. The disadvantage is, it is more complicated - never a good thing.

I'd like to come to such an event but my problem is that it'd be difficult for me to be there for more than about 6hours (e.g. 10 to 4). Is this feasible or will it upset team structure? Also who'd want me on their team? - don't all answer at once!
