Who's in what team again??

I can see this being fun!

I have been practising a lot, and fitted a 240V battery into my controller as per Dave L's instruction.

Alice is going to make some Flap-Jacks for me to bring, I'll also pop into the local Soup Kitchen and pick up some goodies. Pasties, Pork Pies, Crisp, Old Peculiar etc.

Looking forward to this, have not had a day out in decades. er, 1972 to be exact.

So, who's team am I in?

So if we are to have a 'team car' for the length of the race, chosen on a first come, first choice basis. What is the procedure for lane allocation?

All the better for keeping the car in slot.
You can have the inside lane of the M25

QUOTE (Mr.M @ 10 Mar 2011, 16:52) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>PJ - each team does every lane for an hour. Twice!

Just realised - the "night time" stint is going to be interesting with unlighted cars.

I had wondered about that when first told that last year, the lights were turned off . OK for M12's, they have lights. IIR, Pioneer do not. I'll bring a torch and mount it to the roof. I have one of them 500 Watt things.

QUOTE (AAWSCC @ 10 Mar 2011, 17:27) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>It's obvious that PJ has never seen Andy race. Andy needs a car that is attached like a roller coaster with hooks under the track. Oh, you'll see on Sunday.

TA races ran in daytime until dusk. So we will just have to have half light in the distance to make it look like sun down.

OH, A LOTO. Should have said, I'm C489 @ them.
Spent a £ the other day on a scratch card, won £2, so spent that on 2 more, won a £1, got another, and I still have that in my pocket. Hang on, I'll scratch it......Time passes.....
Time passes.....Time passes.....Time passes..... A bit more Time passes.....I just lost £100,000 by one. See, it pays to scratch, I could have one £100,000 if I had 3 and not 2.
So I lost a £1 but got excited 4 times. That's 0.50p per excitement, this is good value for money. I'm off to buy a few more, I need to be excited again.

I had a great day, even though the car I was driving spent more time on it's roof than on all four. Was it my driving?
Great to meet you all.
Well done Tony and team for the win.
Well done Dave and Keith for getting us into 4th. place, it could have been 5th.
Well done PJ for winning the raffle. Do you know PJ, if you had bought the tickets when I had, and I had bought when you did, I would have won. You bought the strip after me. So you were that close to loosing

When I got home, there was a beer and a curry waiting for me. so that was a fine end to to great day. Could we do a 24 hour race next year :;-):

Andy.

The video OK, OK, so not that great, but from a tea pot, it's not that bad.

QUOTE (Mr.M @ 12 Mar 2012, 18:55) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Possibly not, but our car came out of the box, onto the track and raced for 12 hours. The others used valuable track time to "optimise performance" of their cars.

We won.

Draw your own conclusions.

Well done Mr.M and crew. Congrats. mate.

BTW, What car were you racing with?
Any photos?
I still have a stack from the 2011 12hmeet. Never did get to put them on line.
