tyre/wheel question

I smeared some Fly classics with 3in1. It softened them just fine but it also expanded the rubber a fraction...enough to make them slightly too big to snug onto the hubs. You solve one problem and get another.

Yes, if the tyres are that dry you need to buy new ones. Nothing could save them!

I tried WD40 once. Only once. Ten minutes in soak for some rock-hard Flys and the rubber disintegrated along the fix-line. A few also partly melted. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
