Got some time off work coming up and fancied driving off somewhere for a long weekend- anyway, can't decide where to go but I thought I could head off to somewhere with a good motor museum, so I wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Ideally would love to see cars from 60s/early 70s endurance racing but anything from 40s to 70s would be great, I don't even know if such a museum exists in the UK? It would need to be within a reasonable driving distance from the south coast and i'll have my lovely lady with me so somewhere kind of picturesque would be good as we'd be in the area for a few days.

Not asking too much am I?

Apart from Beaulieu the is Haynes Museum near Yeovil or Gaydon

Donnington Grand Prix Collection is best F1 musuem in the world, I believe. They also have other types of cars, but you'll never see so many 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's F1 cars together.
