Looking for help designing a track. I want it to be large and incorporate something like both of these:

http://www.hotslots132.com/popup_image.php?pID=10907

http://s747.photobucket.com/albums/xx112/b...hoto/?start=all

I want the zig zag. but I also want the multilane switching stuff and a good pit setup.

I also want a spot where it is just alternating R2 curves for a short stretch.

I would also like an R4 curve and maybe R3, in there somewhere.

I want the ultimate pit lane (double with crossovers, or whatever you think is best).

Basicaly just your dream track (if you dream of a large track, like I do).

Keep in mind it is digital and I would also like to be able to run analog (I am using the new power base w/SSDC)

I am not too concerned about size (within reason), but I want to have a reasonable way to reach crashed cars etc.

So, if anyone has any cool ideas and free time, post them up
Right now I am building the computer, waiting on the digital platinum set, a bunch of second hand stuff, and the interface cable. have not had much time to layout anything, but I am using Ultimate Racer 3.0 as layout software. I need a final layout so I can figure out what other stuff I need to buy...

Thanks

I am making an inventory now of all the track I have and what's still not here. I will post it when I get it all figured out. My place is pretty big. I have 2000+ square foot free in the basement still to do whatever I want with, so I am not really limited on space (within reason).

Are you into motorsports other than slot cars? I mean, like, real races? If so, you have enough space to reasonably approximate a real track. In that case, you can pick your favorite track, whether it's old or new, whatever type of racing, and find or design a layout based on that track.

Actually my main hobby is real cars. I did race open wheel for a short stint, but it's too expensive and the travel is a pain. The aggravation of fees, tires, maintenance, travel etc. kinda outwieghed the fun of the actual track time. Shifter carts were more fun and cheeper. I have also been building various cars since I was 16. Currently I am building a Factory Five GTM. The last car I built was an LS/VTEC Powered Mini. I am kinda doing the slot car thing to get a break from the real cars and my son is 2 and loves cars. I am hoping I can slow a car down enough he can run it (if I can keep him from just wanting to grab them:). I don't really want to replicate a real track. I want features that don't come in real tracks. Ijust got two more boxes of track tonight. I am trying to go through it all and inventory everything.
