Seeing the interest that has been roused by the mention of the 1960 Vanwall, it got me wondering how many people have in their collection, a car that MAY be the only slot racing model of that car anywhere around?

From my own collection I would like to offer these three:

O.K, I know, there are two of the OSCAs....

I have the details of the rarely seen Smith-Climax too but haven't got around to that one yet!

Anybody else?

Hi Barry
Good stuff
I think the dark blue one is the Fry Climax F2 from about 1957
Is the light blue one the Behra porsche F2 car from the same period
Do you have a lotus 12 in your collection
Cos If you dont I can let you have a body for one

I think my Moanco Trossi may have been a unique slot car, can't remember having seen another modelled.

I have done some others that could be considered unique but have made short production runs of them, usually no more than five, so I guess they would not have a place here.
The Monaco Trossi was a one off, there were absolutely no copies made of the hand beaten aluminium body.

QUOTE (zagato @ 27 Jan 2011, 14:00) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Interesting concept Marlon. Whats the thinking behind it?

Graham.

It's just to replicate as practically as possible the original drive train of the 1:1 car (less the chains!). Surprisingly it all works quite well and allows me to drop the motor side of it down to clear for a full interior. I'll give it it's own thread when I'm further along, this is just a mock up to make sure it all worked.
