Just quick line to say thank you to Viking Club for welcoming us back for night of racing last night.
Having been away for over a year good to see club has lost non of its good nature and banter. New class for this year the Inline/SW GT class has produced great mix of cars on the grid. Ninco Maclaren F1, F50 and Mercedes CLK along with Fly Porsche GT1 98 amongst others dragged out form back of lofts all over Kent for new lease of life
As ever lots of good advise freely given. Set of new tyres for my F50 and loan car for Tom provided by Trevor. And then Tom had cheek to post fastest lap in couple of races with Trev's CLK, having not raced for nearly a year.
As for the Ninco 1 cars, more to my pace. But the Ninco 1 motors pumping out only as measly 16000 rpm offer no catch up in event of an error, so perversely the slowest cars test driver more than quicker classes.
To anyone lurking on the forum who is in East Kent considering having a go, but rightly concerned about what kind of wierdos race Scalextric cars, get on down there on a Monday night. Top bunch and sure you would be made very welcome.

Two wierdos now back in Deepest Dorset. Long journey home last night after A31 was closed for repairs without warning. No detour posted so we ended up driving round and round Hampshire at One in the morning, before finally finding A272.
Be warned, hope to be back at Viking before too long.
