Hi alll
I'm wondering if anyone can help me I live in derby and wondered if anyone can give me assistance regarding my "Scalextric "80" set and a transformer ( smooth flow SF 1/ R 12 volt DC 2 amp output ) A friend of mine tells me this transformer is putting out 19 volts instead of 12 volts can this item be repaired or does anyone know of a suitable replacement to run 4 cars on 4 lane layout.
Finally is there anyone local to mewho can assist me as i'm disabled and have mobility/dexterity problems when it comes to repairing cars etc.?

That is probably about right for no load voltage. As soon as you have 4 cars going, voltage will probably drop below 12v.
