Hi David,

I'm not familiar with that one, and we'll have to wait for the HO experts to chime in.

From the final price, I'm tempted to conclude that it was either a factory-ready raceset, or factory scenery piece that could be bought separately for your own set. Since he says it's styrene, I don't think it would be something anybody did at home.

Ive seen a couple in the past. They were not that expensive,but the last one i saw was around 6 years ago. I think it was made as a store display. It was not sold as a set to the public. Bernard

Certainly looks interesting, don't know anything about it though ... sorry.

Someone sure liked it to pay that money for it.

Hi guys, thanks for your answers..


Actually, me too I'd thought it could be a shop display, something produced to reach at least some Aurora dealers..

And, to be honest, when I put my $1,210 bid on it I was pretty sure I was going to get it..I thought its value could be around the $4/500 mark..but obviously, for someone else this layout was more important than it was for me..
