VPN access Problems

I’ll admit to not knowing much about IT and the Net so when my Anti-virus tells me my access to the web is not secure because I don’t have VPN turned on – I turn it on.

Since then when I try to access this Forum I get the following Access denied message.
277608

When I turn VPN off it lets me back in.

I have not had any problems accessing any other site, Forum, YouTube, Facebook etc.

What doesn’t the Forum like about my VPN?

Is there a way to solve the problem or am I going to have to just turn VPN off to see the site?

Can a Moderator or Admin have a look at this for me please.

From the way my PC and the Forum’s Server are interacting it seems that I am being denied access NOT because My PC poses a threat to the Server but because the Server Cannot infiltrate my PC.

Purely out of interest, I've just tried Norton's VPN. With the VPN active, SlotForum blocks my access.

The error message I get is "www.slotforum.com is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks", but I agree with Gus that it's far more likely that VS, an advertising business, want users' location details to be accessible so that their targeted marketing can be used. (As an aside, I wonder how much longer it will be before VS blocks access to users using ad-blockers.)

JAK, just turn off your VPN, if not entirely, then at least for SlotForum.

I don't bother with a VPN unless I want to access geo-restricted content. In many cases, geo-restricted sites have got wise to the increasing use of VPNs, so now block them. I've found VPNs cause as much hassle as they save, so unless there's a reason to hide my location - which there almost never is - I keep mine turned off.
