Hi John

Can't help you with an Airfix kit this time I'm afraid, these things are like Gold Dust, in fact I haven't even seen one on Ebay for years.....

As an alternative have you thought about one of the OCAR Resin shells?.

Therey are available from Sean at Pendle Slot Racing in both standard Mk I and RS versions.

Although I don't have this particular shell I have used many OCAR shells in the past and they are superb value for money, (even $ !!!)

This is a link to the Pendle site, just look under Cars,Resin Cars, OCAR :-

I would be interested to know what the OCAR resin kits are like (in terms of finish etc).

Because these look pretty good:

How similar are they to say A2M bodies?

Has anyone found who sells A2M in the UK?

Thanks

You will find there are minor imperfections in the resin which can be filled and sandeded, prior to painting, there may also be flashing on the wheelarches & screen apertures which will need removing. In my opinion OCAR bodies represent excellant value for money with most now available as complete kits including PCS32 chassis, decals, white metal and/or photo-etch detailing parts for around £30.

Gareth, we have quite a number of A2M bodies listed on our website. Look in the Cars/Resin. Resin bodies page. we are currently working with Juan at A2M to help improve his range of bodies to incorporate vac formed windscreens, something which has been sadly missing on the early releases. We are looking at revising the range to include some of his latest additions and alloy wheels.

Listed under resin kits that's why i missed it!

Good to hear about the wheel and bits they seem to do a great range and not very expensive.
