Does anyone have one of the Audi Quattro bodies from here (or complete car) surplus to their requirements?

Maybe a member who is resident in Spain might be able to help me get one.

ok - I do not understand spanish - but is this not an offer similar to the ones 'del-prado' (?) in the uk offers - e.g. it is a kind of 'pseudo-honest' offer for people to get them buy a mazine - but you are not getting the car you are getting bits and pieces - and before you know it the 'magazine' has been 'dismantled' and the publication is no more... - just a thought - I am sure our spanish friends could help out a bit with their interpretation of this specific offer... (after all I might just be a bit carried away with wild guesses and phantasy).

On the other hand - if this IS a proper and reliable offer then they DO have some nice things - if scalextric in the uk would offer us in the forum to choose from 48 reproductions (in kit form and a couple of times per year) from their old moulds for the price of a standard new scalextric model - I am sure that it would be of interest to quite a few of us...

Peter, well I don't know how it used to work but I thought the magazines were available from Spanish newsagents each month. Four magazines (loose term) and you had a car.

I bought the four that made up the BMW M1 from a Spaniard at MK for £34 and kick myself that I didn't go for either the Quattro or the RS200 that was also available.

I note on the Altaya site that they are doing a Scalextric Pro collection that appears to offer a whole four car set with track - least I think that's what it offers. No doubt you can't cherry pick the bits you want from that one.

Curiously, the plastic used on the M1, in both the chassis and the body, feels different to that in normal SCX cars. An economy made? Certainly the motor is the latest pepped up RX can though. I've just got to get the right tyres for her and she'll fly along quite nicely.

If anyone has a line obtaining some of this range of cars then please contact me... I'm now thinking the 037 looked tasty and that 911 or .....

You have good taste in choosing cars I think.... mmmm

had a look at the site (we could really use some spanish speaking friend here) - it seems to be possible to by individual issues. So if you know which ones are needed for a specific car then....

..you've made me think......

Anyway - I have not figured out wether or not they would send abroad.....

...eh - the spanish translator is not working very reliably....

When I was in Barcelona last september I bought one of these magazines from a newstand on the Ramblas which came on a huge advertising card about 2.1/2 ft x 1.1/2 ft with it came a body shell of a Citroen Xsara WRC & 1 piece of SCX track a snow covered effect curved chicane & all the lot only cost euro 2.95 I had to dump the backing card straight away or I would have been knocking people over with it
They dont cost much so if they could only do away with that backing card we would be able to get them in UK pretty cheaply
Doesnt anyone in our Forum know how we could get them here

€2.95!!

Why, that's £1.97 of Her Majesty's dosh at yesterday's rates.

Ooh. I'm even more motivated now.

I did think that you could buy the mags without subscribing to the whole series but you are right, I think, they will not post outside of Spain.

If I can suss the lingo and register I'm going to try to post on the Slotadictos forum.

Is there nobody visiting here that can assist?

Wankel,
I've tried it from Germany - their answer was, that they only send the magazines to people living in Spain.
Only the first one is so cheap every other costs 7,95 Euro and you need four to complete a car.(so 32,00 per car)
I managed finaly to get all of them (from the first Miticos and from the first Rally Miticos series) nice cars.
Better plastik and tampoo printed - no decals any more.
The motor/axle/tyres are OK
The next series is already in the que. Same cars different liveries and colours.
I still have some magazines with part of the cars left - I think two bodies from the Toyota Cellica and the Ferrari... - send me a mail if you are interested.
The news I got recently over the internet says, that they are also going to be issued from Scalextric in the UK - But I'm not shure, that this is true.
Same concept - 4 magazines - 1 car

TS, I heard it too, that the UK would be getting something like this concept, but I think, correct me if I'm wrong by all means, that in the UK you have to subscribe to these "Week by week builds into a fantastic collection of corn dollies" type magazines - after a few issues the newsagents don't keep ordering them on spec. And they won't be as cheap as the Spanish versions.

I'll pass on the Ferrari and the silly car bodies, ta.

Need to get me a Spanish pen-friend.
