Hi everyone,

I am trying tp restore a couple of old Javelins (& Electras), and am trying to make my own roll bar and engine cover.

I can't tell from any of the pics I have pulled off the internet whether the rollbar and engine cover on the Javelins are joined, or whether they are separate pieces.

Has anyone got a complete version they can check for me? Some close up pics at various angles of that part of a complete car would be very helpful.

Even better, if anyone has any spare parts for these cars, or has wrecked Javelin or Electra bodies with the roll bar, engine covers or wings intact, please contact me also, if you'd be interested in selling/swaping those bits. I don't expect to be able to get these bits and pieces easily, which is why I'll probably end up makiing my own.

Thanks,

Graeme

Thanks Phil,

I got outbid for it anyway (I didn't want to pay more for that than what the rest of the car cost me!). If I see any more like that, I'll send you an email first, as it would nearly cost as much to send that one part on its own as it cost to buy it. (Thats if its OK with you to purchase and hold it for me until after the next fair?)

Paul,

Thanks anyway, but as it happens, a fellow collector on the Yahoo sclaextric group (SCALEXTRIC_1) sent some very detailed ones to me over the weekend, in reply to a similar message I posted there.

Regards,

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

No problems you know me. I have stopped using the yahoo group now, we need to get Annie and Mike to use this forum and then use the PM feature to get in touch when needed.
It is not always easy to spot posts coming in from other collectors on here.

Phil.
